Action TESA, part of the Action Group and a manufacturer of wood-based panel products, marked National Carpenter’s Day with programmes organised across more than 50 locations in India.
Held under the theme “Sang Sang Chalen, Aage Badhen,” the initiative focused on supporting carpenters and their families through four benefit programmes covering marriage assistance, education, skill development and accidental insurance.
Under the 2026–27 Carpenter Benefit Programme, eligible carpenter families will receive marriage assistance of up to Rs.50,000 for their daughters in the form of a furniture package made using Action TESA products.
The programme also includes scholarships of Rs.11,000 for meritorious children of carpenters. Under the Super 30 initiative, selected candidates will receive support for a three-month residential skill development programme conducted in association with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
In addition, participating carpenters will be provided group personal accident insurance coverage of up to Rs.2 lakh.
Ajay Aggarwal, Managing Director, Action TESA, said carpenters have played an important role in the furniture and interior ecosystem and in the company’s growth.
“Through this initiative, we want to stand with carpenters not only in their work, but also in their aspirations and those of their families,” he said.
The company said the programmes are aimed at extending support to the wider carpenter community beyond their professional requirements and contributing to the welfare and development of their families.
