Chennai, 27 Oct 2026: Indian Naval Ship Trishul arrived at Civitavecchia, Italy, on 25 Oct 2026, during her ongoing operational deployment to the Mediterranean Sea.
Prior to entering harbour, the ship undertook a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with Italian Naval Ship Carlo Margottini. The exercise featured coordinated manoeuvr ing drills, communication procedures, reple nishment approaches, cross-deck landings, personnel transfers and boarding operations. The PASSEX facili tated the exchange of Best Practices and enhanced operational synergy between the two Navies. During the port call, professional inter actions, cultural visits and exchanges are scheduled. The ship will also be open to visitors, providing an opportunity to engage with the Indian Navy’s maritime traditions and capabilities.
