Chennai, 14 Oct 2026: Shri Tej Partap Singh has assumed charge as Principal Chief Safety Officer (PCSO), Southern Railway with effect from 06th October 2026. He is an Officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) of 1998 Batch. Prior to his posting as PCSO, Shri Tej Partap Singh had held the post of Chief Freight Transpor tation Manager of Southern Railway.
Shri Tej Partap Singh has a vast experience in various facets of Railway Traffic/Transportation, including Coaching, Freight, Safety and General Administra tion. He had successful stints in the Centre of Railway Information System (CRIS) as the Regional General Manager and was associated with Real Time Train Informa tion System of Auto matic Train Tracking using ISRO’s GSAT Satellite with GA GAN, along with 4G/ 3G mobile net work, Control Office Appli cation Project and PRS Modernisa tion Project. Shri.Tej Partap Singh holds a CA degree and has also undergone several Overseas Specialised Management Progra mmes at Insead, Singa pore, ICLIF, Malaysia and a training in High Speed Rail Technology training at China. Further, he is an active participant in several Marathon runs.
