Chennai, September 28, 2026: Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), a leading emerging markets FMCG company, has been honoured with the ‘Marquee Best of the Best Award’ for outstanding achievements in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) at the Bombay Chamber Inclusion Awards 2026, instituted by the 190-year-old Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry. GCPL was also named first Runner-up in the Consumer and Life Sciences Sector.
GCPL’s approach centres on building equitable opportunities and stronger representation across its workforce. Initiatives such as Aarambh, GOAL and Bersiap alongside inclusive hiring practices, have helped shape more representative manufacturing, sales and corporate teams, enabling talent from diverse backgrounds to grow within the organisation.
Commenting on the recognition, Vaibhav Ram, Global HR Head, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), said, “We are delighted to be listed in the Marquee category, which features organisations setting the benchmark for inclusion and belonging and charting the way forward for the corporate world. As an organisation where historically excluded groups make up more than half of our consumer base globally, we are proud to sustain a similar representation within our employee base. What makes our journey at GCPL meaningful is seeing our leaders recognise the untapped potential of diverse communities in their entirety, as colleagues, as talent and as consumers. Integrating these perspectives brings more heads, heart and hands to our work, embedding inclusion in how we build our business & culture.”
Sandhya Ramesh, AVP – DEI, Culture & Engagement, Godrej Consumer Products, added, “GCPL continues to be on the path of accelerating inclusion internally & across the ecosystem. With representation of over 50% in our global workforce, our aim now is to expand efforts to positively impact end-consumer experience while building sustainable talent models representing historically excluded communities in functions like sales & manufacturing. We want our work to also inspire larger collectives of organizations to move the needle on DEI, and for them to believe it is fully possible to do.”
GCPL’s inclusion efforts extend beyond its workforce to its broader business ecosystem — through partnerships with distributors, suppliers, hiring partners, NGOs and community organisations — and into product innovation, including its Inclusive Olfactory Panel, which brings diverse perspectives into how products are developed.
Across India, Indonesia, the Americas and GAMC, GCPL continues to build on this approach through practices shaped for local context. The recognition reflects the collective effort of its employees, leaders, allies and partners in embedding inclusion into the organisation’s culture and growth journey.
