Amazon.in has announced that its annual Amazon Great Indian Festival will begin on October 8, offering customers festive-season deals across smartphones, electronics, fashion, beauty, home essentials and groceries.
Customers will be eligible for a 10% instant discount on SBI Credit and Debit Cards and EMI transactions, while Prime members can avail themselves of additional benefits of up to 10%. The festival will feature Blockbuster Deals, Top 100 Deals, Mega Deals and 8 PM Deals, along with offers such as Buy More Save More, Exchange Mela, Sample Mania and Amazon Combos. No Cost EMI and exchange offers will also be available across categories.
Amazon India Vice President Saurabh Srivastava said the festival would bring together customers, sellers and brands, with a wide selection of premium and value products, new launches and savings.
Ahead of the festive season, Amazon India has created more than 1.6 lakh seasonal work opportunities across its operations network covering 400 cities. The company is also expanding its network with 20 new fulfilment centres, six sort centres and 150 last-mile delivery stations.
Amazon’s seller network now supports more than 17 lakh sellers, while its seller base has crossed 20 lakh, with over three lakh sellers joining in the past year.
Meanwhile, Amazon Now, its quick-delivery service, is available in over 60 cities and is expected to expand to 100 cities before Diwali.
