Coimbatore, September 21, 2026: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has strengthened its focus on LPG cylinder quality and customer safety through its ‘Zero Ka Dum’ (ZKD) programme. Under the ‘Defect Mila Toh Refill Free’ initiative, customers in select cities, including Coimbatore, can avail a free refill if a genuine defect is identified in a Bharatgas cylinder at the time of delivery, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The programme ensures stringent quality checks at every stage, from LPG bottling plants to the customer’s doorstep. BPCL’s LPG bottling plants undergo rigorous third-party certification audits by independent agencies accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB). So far, 55 LPG bottling plants have successfully achieved ‘Zero Ka Dum’ certification.
The initiative combines advanced technology, stringent maintenance practices, safety checkpoints and independent quality certification to strengthen operational controls and ensure that only defect-free cylinders reach customers. The programme has been launched in select cities and will be gradually rolled out to other locations.
