CHENNAI – 3 Nov, 2026 Chennai: QR678®, an Indian-origin hair science and research platform, has received the prestigious DASIL Award for Pioneering Innovations in Hair Science and Regenerative Medicine at the 14th DASIL World Congress, held in Kochi, Kerala, from October 22 to 24, 2026.
The award, presented by the Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League (DASIL), recognises QR678®’s contributions to hair science, clinical research and regenerative medicine. The recognition was received by Indrajit Dutta, Senior Vice President, QR678®, along with members of its scientific, medical and leadership teams.
Developed through the translational research efforts of clinician-scientists Dr. Rinky Kapoor and Dr. Debraj Shome, the platform integrates clinical research, molecular biology, biotechnology and regenerative medicine to advance the understanding of hair and scalp health.
Commenting on the achievement, Indrajit Dutta said the award recognises the collective contributions of scientists, doctors and researchers and reinforces the platform's commitment to scientific research and innovation.
In 2026, researchers associated with QR678® completed 19 scientific papers and secured one patent award. The platform's intellectual property portfolio includes three awarded global patents, with 25 additional patent applications under consideration worldwide.
