TIRUMALA GEARING UP FOR V-DAY SPECIAL RELIGIOUS EVENTS

Tirumala, 24 Dec. 19: A spate of special religious programs are lined up in Srivari Temple at Tirumala as a part of Vaikunta Ekadasi on January 6 and Vaikuntha Dwadasi on January 7.

On January 6 Tiruppavai Parayanam will be held in the Srivari temple from 12.30 midnight to 2.30 am ahead of other Dhanurmasam rituals like Tomala, Koluvu, Panchanga Sravanam before the commencement of Vaikunthadwara darshanam for devotees.

Between 9 am and 11 am, there will be a procession of Swarnaratham along the four-Mada streets with Malayappaswamy and His consorts taking a ride on it.

Similarly, Sahasra Deepalankaraseva will be performed between 5 pm and 7 pm in the evening as a cynosure to all devotees. At 8.30 pm Adhyayanotsavam will be conducted at the Ranganayakula mandapam.

CHAKRSNANAM ON JAN 7

On January 7, on the occasion of Vaikunta Dwadasi, Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar will be offered Chakrasnanam in the Swami Pushkarini.

CANCELLATION OF ALL ARJITA SEVAS

In view of special rituals at Srivari temple on both Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi days, the TTD had decided to cancel all arjita sevas like Kalyanotsvams, Arjita Brahmotsavams, and Vasantotsavams etc.  From January 5-7.
