Chennai, 18th October 2019: The students of the Department of Public Relations, Stella Maris College, Chennai hosted a cultural event at Jayam Special School, Mogappair West.
The objective of the event was to dedicate time to spend with children with special needs and reflect on how it serves as a positive experience for both the students and the children.
Through this event, the department and the college provide a platform to students by encouraging experiential learning in-order to gear them to become industry ready. The Department of Public Relations aims to produce, not only responsible PR persons, but also sensitize citizens on social concerns thereby creating a bigger mind-space for the people of global village. The students and the Department of Public Relations acknowledged the constant support and encouragement received from Dr Sr. Rosy Joseph, Principal Stella Maris College, Chennai and Sr. Susan Matheikal, Secretary Stella Maris College, Chennai.
The cultural event was an interactive session hosted for the children of Jayam Special School. The event included a Kuchipudi dance performance by Ms. Daphnie Rajavel, a magic show by Mr. Raja from ‘Universal Magic Show’ and fun games and activities that encourage the children to showcase their talents.
