Saaho records more than 5 million Tweets on Twitter Before theatrical release


August 21, 2019: Less than two weeks ahead of its theatrical release, the much-anticipated film #Saaho is already surfing high on waves of conversation on Twitter. The movie’s gripping trailer went live on 10th August, 2019, generating huge engagement on the platform from fans across languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. Following the excitement for the film since its announcement and positive reception to its trailer launch, the film has generated over 5 million Tweets on the platform even before its release. #Saaho is set to release on 30th August, 2019.

Leading stars #Prabhas and @ShraddhaKapoor showcased their excitement over this milestone through a live video conversation on Twitter last evening. Fans could Tweet questions to the stars with the hashtag #AskTeamSaaho.

They spoke of the overwhelming response for their movie #Saaho by fans on Twitter. During the conversation fans were eager to know when #Prabhas would join the platform, with @ShraddhaKapoor highlighting the immense love that admirers pour for him on Twitter. While the conversation largely comprised of the sweat and hard work that went into the making of the film, it ended with @ShraddhaKapoor teasing fans with a possible surprise lined up for the 23rd of August on Twitter for the fans.

While #ShadesofSaaho (teaser of the film) set up a powerful presence for the movie on Twitter back in October 2018, the conversation around #Saaho gained momentum once the trailer went live on the 10th of August. Celebrities, cinema enthusiasts and fans flocked to the platform to express their excitement about the movie after watching the action-packed trailer, which featured #Prabhas and @ShraddhaKapoor in action.
