HCCB Donates Uniforms and Educational Kits to 128 Students at Nemam village in Tamil Nadu

Chennai, September 18, 2019:In line with its commitment to promoting education and skill building, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (HCCB) – one amongst India’s premier FMCG companies, donated uniforms and educational kits to 128 students in Andersonpet School and Nemam Village School at Nemam, near Chennai. As part of this commitment, HCCB also set up a dedicated smart classroomat Andersonpet School equipped with an interactive intelligent digital touch board, a short-throw projector and an audio system.

Present at the inauguration of the smart classroom,District Educational Officer P. Paamaa, Block Educational Officer P. Gurunathan, Zonal Commercial Head HCCB, P. Srinivas Kalyan, HCCB’sNemam Factory Manager S. Dinesh Ratnam, and others distributed the uniforms and educational kits to the students.

P Srinivas Kalyan, Zonal Commercial Head, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, said, “Taking a significant step towards creating an environmentthat is conducive to learning, HCCB is mobilising the next generation to grow.The future of our students is a shared responsibility. What makes HCCB proud is that we have continued with this tradition of being able to provide tools, equipments or modules that helps education in these villages.”

With a strong commitment to uplifting communities, HCCB set up two smart classrooms in Nemamvillage school last year.Reconstruction of school buildings both at Nemam and Andersonpet was celebrated and students were provided with uniforms and school kits last year. Through these initiatives, we want to continue to equip students with interactive learning techniques to keep up with the technological advancements in classrooms.
