Chennai, November 13, 2019: Amazon India today announced its annual Amazon India Tech Conference (AITC) to be held on November 14- 15, 2019 in Chennai.The theme of the 2-day event is “Building Today. Innovating for Tomorrow”.The event provides an interactive forum for the India Tech Community to meet, collaborate and learn best practices from Senior Leaders and Engineers at Amazon. The conference will be a stage to share knowledge and showcase the innovative engineering efforts & projects of various teams across India Development Centers. The conference also aims to foster relationships between teams spanning all locations in India.The event will include a series of keynotes by technology leaders, panel discussions, Speed Mentoring, Pitch It!, Poster Design and technology stalls.

To keep the participants engaged through out those 2-days, Amazon is organizing unique activities like Technology Stalls and Pitchit! The Technology Stall is a way of sharing information, knowledge, and best practices with other attendees at Amazon India Tech Conference. This year, the company will be using the tech stalls to showcase posters and demos from across Amazon India. Demos will be selected from various ongoing innovation themed hackathons spanning ‘Build For India, Inventify and Team specific hackathons. On the poster front, the focus will be to demonstrate the inventions and novelties happening around us, with clear emphasis on ‘thinking big’, ‘scaling’ and ‘synergy’ across Amazon’s various businesses and engineering organizations.
PitchIt! is specifically for Amazon employees. The employees are invited to present their think big and innovative ideas to a panel of Amazon Leaders. The shortlisted participants get to present a 5 minute elevator pitch presentation and/or a demo on the specific idea. The idea will be judged by the panel and winners stand a chance to win exciting prizes. Similarly, Speed Mentoring is an opportunity to connect with Amazon leaders to help get answers for any career related question that participants may have in slots of 15 minutes each.These time bound interactions will give participants the opportunity to interact with multiple leaders within a single hour.
